Therapeutic Approach

Abbey Wood Therapy, Divider,

Most people find that, regardless of what they are going through, talking to someone impartial about the difficulties they are facing is really helpful.

In psychoanalysis, you are encouraged to say whatever comes to mind, even if it might sound unimportant, irrelevant, or embarrassing.

I see my role more as an unbiased listener or a receiver. This position allows me to pay attention to what you are saying and discover connections that you might not be aware of.

Psychoanalysis is an art as much as it is a science. It has a structure, a background or theory, but at the same time, it allows space for creativity that is inherent to the individual experience. This is where surprising things can happen.

What to expect

Sessions run for 50 minutes and they start and end on time. The duration of the treatment depends on every individual and the issues that come up in the process.

Everything we discuss in therapy remains strictly confidential. There are rare situations in which I may need to talk to another professional, for example in the case of a terrorist act or a child being in grave danger. If that is the case, I would discuss it with you first.

About the space

I work from a quiet and cosy consulting room in Abbey Wood, a couple of minutes away from the Abbey Wood station and the new Elizabeth Line.

I also see people in Central London at the Guild of Psychotherapists in Southwark.

I also work online with people living outside the London area.
